Internship I: The 54th Annual Symphony Design Showhouse
The Kansas City Symphony Alliance’s Symphony Designers’ Showhouse is one of the longest running showhouse fundraising events of its kind in the country.
From 1936-39 the home was rented by artist Thomas Hart Benton and his wife Rita after he left New York to teach at the Kansas City Art Institute.

Internship II: The 55th KCSA Showhouse Entryway
Together with my design intern teammate, Rachel Best, we designed the 1906 entryway. The 55th Showhouse is adjacent to Thomas Hart Benton's house. The historian said, "That Mr. Benton was known to come to parties in this specific showhouse." The house sits on the original grounds of the Kansas City Inter-State Fair in the turn of the 20th century.
